The late ‘80s brought internal tensions, leading to Steve Perry’s departure in 1987. Journey went through lineup changes, took a hiatus, and struggled to regain their former success.

However, the 2000s saw a revival when they discovered Arnel Pineda, a Filipino singer whose voice was strikingly similar to Perry’s. With Pineda at the helm, Journey has continued touring the world, proving that their music is timeless.
