Jeff Butler – Radio Personality & DJ

Jeff Butler’s career in music and broadcasting began in 1976 at a roller-skating center, where he quickly built a reputation as a talented DJ performing nightclub gigs and mobile DJ sound and light shows. In 1978, he attended Brown Institute, and by 1979, Jeff officially launched his radio career.

Over the years, Jeff made seven stops at stations across the dial before returning permanently to Minneapolis in 1989, where he continues to thrive in the radio industry today. He can be heard on WDGY, hosting live broadcasts from major car shows and community events across the Twin Cities.

Jeff’s passion extends beyond radio—he’s a lifelong fan of classic cars and motorcycles, and still roller skates once a week. His voice has become a familiar and trusted presence in the Twin Cities, having worked on many of the area’s most iconic stations, including WWTC, KJJO, KOOL 108, KTCZ Cities 97, WRQC Rock 100.3, Classic Hits 100 (New WLOL), KQRS, and now WDGY.

With decades of dedication to music, broadcasting, and community events, Jeff Butler remains a beloved personality in Minnesota radio, connecting audiences with entertainment and hometown pride.
